**Chart:**

#### Reviewers needed as review share rises

**Type:** line

**X:** review_pct

**From:** 1

**To:** 100

**Disclaimer:** Planning estimate. It excludes the cost of fixing errors found in review, retraining, and the effort of building and running the agent. Set the review share by risk, not by convenience.

## Content

**Intro:** Human review is the control that makes many ERP agents acceptable, and it is also a real cost. This calculator shows how many reviewers and how much money a given review share requires, so the business case does not quietly assume that oversight is free.

**Sections:**

#### How to use the calculator

**Body:** Enter the number of actions the agent performs per day and the share a person will check. Use 100 percent when every action needs approval, such as before an agent posts or sends anything outside the company. Use a lower sampling rate for low-risk drafts. Add realistic minutes per review and productive hours per reviewer, which are usually well below a full shift. The chart sweeps the review share to show where headcount starts to erase the benefit.

#### The formulas

**Body:** Reviews per day equal actions times review share. Reviewer hours per day equal reviews times minutes per review divided by 60. Reviewers needed equal reviewer hours divided by productive hours per reviewer. Annual cost multiplies daily reviewer hours by the hourly cost and working days. Time saved compares review minutes per action, review share times minutes per review, with the minutes needed to do the action manually. If that saving is small, the automation is mainly shifting work, not removing it.

#### Choosing a review share

**Body:** Set the share by consequence of error and by track record, not by habit. Actions that change financial records, trigger shipments or leave the company deserve full approval. Internal drafts and lookups can be sampled. Many teams start at 100 percent, measure the error rate during the pilot, and reduce the share for specific action types once evidence supports it.

**Bullets:**

- Full approval for write-back, payments and external messages
- Sampling for classification and internal drafting
- Higher review share for new action types and after model changes
- Track overrides and errors to justify any reduction

#### Common mistakes

**Body:** People often use the minutes per review from a best-case demo, ignore that reviewers lose time switching tasks, and forget that review quality drops when volume is high. If reviewers approve everything in seconds, the control is not working. Check the approve rate and time per review in your logs and adjust staffing or design the queue to surface only items that need judgement.

**Cta:** If you want agents that route only the uncertain or high-impact actions to a person, Netray can design the approval flow with your ERP team. The calculator is free either way.

**Faq:**

#### What review share should I start with?

**Answer:** Start at 100 percent for anything that writes to the ERP or leaves the company, and sample lower-risk outputs. Measure the error and override rate in the pilot, then reduce the share only for action types with a strong record.

#### Why use productive hours instead of a full shift?

**Answer:** Reviewers spend time on meetings, breaks, switching tasks and handling exceptions. Using a realistic figure, often five to six hours, avoids understating the headcount the review step truly needs.

#### Does sampling still count as human oversight?

**Answer:** It can, if the sampling rate, selection method and response to errors are defined and documented. For high-impact actions, regulations or customer contracts may require approval of every action rather than sampling.

#### How do I include error correction cost?

**Answer:** Estimate the share of reviewed items that need rework and the minutes to fix each, then add that to the minutes per review. The calculator treats minutes per review as the total human time spent per reviewed item.
