**Notes:** Priority score = severity weight x (1 + age in weeks) x (1 + revenue at risk / 50,000). It is a sorting aid, not a verdict, so adjust the 50,000 scale to your own order sizes. Update age each day or compute it after export.

## Content

**Intro:** Escalations get lost when they live in email threads. A single log with an owner, a severity and an age makes each one visible at the weekly review. This worksheet adds a priority score so the oldest, largest and most severe items rise to the top.

**Sections:**

#### How to use the log

**Body:** Add a row when a customer issue is escalated beyond the first-line rep. Assign one named owner, pick the severity and enter the severity weight: 4 for critical, 3 high, 2 medium, 1 low. Fill revenue at risk with the open order value or annual account value, whichever is relevant. Update age and status daily, and close items only after the customer confirms.

#### Understanding the priority score

**Body:** The score multiplies severity, age and revenue so that an old, large, critical issue ranks far above a new, small, low one. The age term rises each week an item stays open, which stops quiet problems from fading. You can change the weights, but keep the logic simple so the team trusts the ordering.

**Bullets:**

- Critical: line-down, safety or regulatory impact
- High: major delivery or quality failure
- Medium: repeat errors, billing disputes
- Low: minor documents, informational requests

#### Running the weekly review

**Body:** Sort by priority score and walk the top ten. For each, ask what is blocking it and who owns the next action. Items marked Waiting on internal are your problem, so give them a due date. Link serious quality escalations to an NCR or corrective action request so root cause is handled formally.

#### Common mistakes

**Body:** Having several owners, which means none. Closing an item when you reply instead of when the customer accepts. Leaving revenue at risk blank, which makes small and large accounts look the same.

**Cta:** Netray can build an assistant over your ERP and support data that links each escalation to the open orders, shipments and invoices involved.

**Faq:**

#### What is an escalation versus a normal ticket?

**Answer:** An escalation is an issue the front-line rep cannot resolve alone, or one with serious customer impact: line-down risk, repeated failure, executive complaint. Define your trigger in writing so reps know when to log one.

#### Who should own an escalation?

**Answer:** One accountable person, usually in customer service or the account team, who coordinates quality, planning and sales. Other teams act on tasks, but the owner reports status to the customer.

#### How often should the log be reviewed?

**Answer:** Weekly at minimum, and daily for critical items. Review age as well as severity, because a medium issue open for a month is a bigger relationship risk than it looks.

#### How does this relate to a CAPA?

**Answer:** The log tracks the customer relationship. A CAPA or 8D tracks the root cause and corrective action. Reference the CAPA number in the issue text so both records stay connected.
