#### What is as-found versus as-left?

**Answer:** As-found is the error before any adjustment, which shows how the instrument performed in service. As-left is the error after adjustment. Standards expect you to keep as-found data to judge the validity of earlier measurements.

#### How do I set a calibration interval?

**Answer:** Start from the manufacturer recommendation and the usage, then adjust using history. Instruments that always pass with little drift can be extended with justification, while those near the limit need a shorter interval.

#### Does this replace SAP?
