## Content

**Intro:** Pricing in SAP SD is built from condition types arranged in a pricing procedure. This list gives the delivered standard condition types you meet in almost every implementation, with a plain description of how each is typically used.

**Sections:**

#### How to read condition types

**Body:** A condition type is a building block with a four character key, such as PR00 for price. It is assigned an access sequence that tells SAP which condition tables to search, and it appears as a step in the pricing procedure with a counter, a from and to reference and, often, an account key for revenue posting. Use the group column here to scan for prices, discounts, freight, cost, cash discount and tax.

#### Key checks when a price is wrong

**Body:** Open the order, go to item conditions and display the analysis. Check that the condition type exists in the pricing procedure for the combination of sales area, customer pricing procedure and document pricing procedure, that a valid record exists for the date, and that no requirement routine or exclusion indicator is stopping it. Many pricing issues come from the validity date or from the document pricing procedure, not from the missing record.

**Bullets:**

- Check the pricing date and condition record validity
- Check access sequence and condition table fields
- Check the condition exclusion group
- Check the requirement routine in the procedure step

#### Statistical and cost conditions

**Body:** VPRS and SKTO are typically statistical, meaning they show a value for information and margin but do not change the net value in the same way a price or discount does. Do not add a statistical condition to a subtotal that feeds revenue posting unless you know exactly what you want.

**Cta:** If pricing analysis across thousands of orders is slow, Netray can help build a read-only pricing exceptions view over your SAP data. Ask for a review.

**Faq:**

#### What is condition type PR00 in SAP?

**Answer:** PR00 is the standard price condition type in SAP SD. It carries the unit price for a material, normally maintained with VK11 and found by an access sequence. Most delivered pricing procedures use PR00 as the first price step.

#### What is the difference between a condition type and an access sequence?

**Answer:** The condition type defines how a price element behaves, such as price or discount. The access sequence defines the order in which condition tables are searched to find a valid record for that condition type. One access sequence can serve many condition types.

#### Where do I maintain condition types?

**Answer:** Use V/06 to maintain condition types, V/07 for access sequences and V/08 for pricing procedures. Condition records are then maintained with VK11, VK12 and VK13 by the pricing or sales team.

#### What does a statistical condition do?

**Answer:** A statistical condition is shown on the document for information, for example cost VPRS for margin, but it does not change the net value that is billed or posted. The statistical flag is set on the pricing procedure step.
