**Notes:** Look up requests in SE09 or SE10, and import queues in STMS. This log does not connect to SAP: keep it as a human-readable record next to your change tickets. Release the request in SE09 or SE10 before importing.

## Content

**Intro:** Most SAP teams track transports in a spreadsheet whatever tooling they own. This worksheet gives you the columns that matter, so you can see at a glance what is waiting for QA, what is in production and what is stuck.

**Sections:**

#### How to use the worksheet

**Body:** Add one row per transport request when the developer or consultant creates it in SE09 or SE10. Fill the type, owner, description and change ticket immediately. When the request is released, add the release date, then record the QA and production import dates after the import in STMS. Use the status column to filter. Export to Excel for the change advisory board, or to CSV to load into another tracker.

**Bullets:**

- One row per request, never per object
- Update on release and on each import
- Keep the ticket number in every row
- Use On hold for requests blocked by dependencies

#### Workbench versus customizing

**Body:** Workbench requests carry repository objects such as programs, classes, tables and function modules. Customizing requests carry configuration from SPRO and view maintenance. They often have dependencies: a program that reads a new customizing table must not reach production before the table and its content do. Logging both types in one view lets you spot that sequence problem before the import. Transport of copies is for moving objects without changing the original request, and is often used for emergency fixes.

#### Common mistakes

**Body:** Importing out of sequence is the main cause of production incidents from transports. Others are releasing a request with objects locked in another open request, mixing unrelated changes into one request and importing to production without a recorded QA test. Keep requests small and tied to one ticket, and never release a request that contains work you did not mean to move.

**Bullets:**

- Imports in the wrong order
- Unrelated changes in one request
- No QA evidence before production
- Forgetting dependent customizing

**Cta:** If you want transport status, dependencies and import history pulled into one view from your landscape, we can talk about building that.

**Faq:**

#### Does this connect to my SAP system?

**Answer:** No. It is an offline worksheet that runs in your browser. Enter requests by hand or paste them from SE09 and STMS. Nothing is sent to SAP or to us unless you choose to contact us.

#### Why track transports outside SAP?

**Answer:** SAP shows technical status, but not your change ticket, business owner, test result or decision to hold a request. A simple log joins those, and is easy to share with auditors or release managers.

#### What does a transport request number look like?

**Answer:** It is the three character system ID, then K, then six digits, for example DEVK900123. Tasks inside a request use the same prefix with a later number. Check the real value in SE09.

#### Can I use it for ChaRM or Cloud ALM?

**Answer:** You can use it as a lightweight view beside those tools, or as the main log for teams that have not adopted them. It does not replace the controlled change workflow those tools provide.
