#### The formula

**Body:** Monthly cost is the sum of three category costs plus provider charges. Marketing cost is volume times marketing rate. Utility cost is volume times one minus the free share, times the utility rate. Authentication cost is volume times its rate. Provider charges are billable messages times markup, plus the platform fee. Service conversations that a customer starts and you reply to inside the window are not modeled because they carry no template charge today. If your recipients span several countries, run the tool once per country and add the results.

#### Why is marketing so much more expensive than utility?
