Infor SyteLine

SyteLine ISO 9001:2015 Compliance Configuration Guide

Infor SyteLine provides native functionality that maps directly to ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements. From document control and calibration management to corrective actions and management review data, properly configured SyteLine modules eliminate the need for standalone QMS software. This guide maps each ISO 9001 clause to specific SyteLine features, forms, and configuration settings that auditors evaluate during certification and surveillance audits.

Document Control and Record Management (Clause 7.5)

ISO 9001 Clause 7.5 requires controlled documents and records with defined approval, distribution, and retention processes. SyteLine's Document Management module and form-level revision control provide the framework for electronic document control. Configure the Document Control form and workflow to manage quality procedures, work instructions, and controlled forms within the ERP system.

  • Configure the Document Control module to manage quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions with version control and approval workflows
  • Set up document revision workflows requiring author, reviewer, and approver sign-offs before new revisions become effective in the SLDocuments IDO
  • Enable document distribution tracking to demonstrate controlled copy management and obsolete document removal for auditor review
  • Configure record retention policies per document type aligned with ISO 9001 and industry-specific requirements (e.g., 7 years for aerospace)
  • Link controlled documents to inspection plans, work centers, and job routing operations for point-of-use access to current revision documents

Process Monitoring and Management Review Data (Clauses 9.1-9.3)

ISO 9001 requires organizations to monitor, measure, analyze, and evaluate quality management system performance. SyteLine quality reports, KPI dashboards, and trend analysis provide the data needed for management review meetings. Configure automated data collection from quality, production, and customer service modules to generate the inputs required by Clause 9.3.

  • Configure quality KPI reports covering first-pass yield, customer complaint rates, NCR trends, and CAPA effectiveness for management review presentations
  • Set up customer satisfaction metrics using SLCoItems on-time delivery rates and customer return/complaint data as ISO 9001 Clause 9.1.2 evidence
  • Enable process performance monitoring using SPC data, production efficiency metrics, and scrap/rework rates by product family and production line
  • Configure supplier performance reports aggregating vendor quality scores, delivery metrics, and SCAR data for management review supplier evaluation

Internal Audit and Continuous Improvement (Clauses 9.2-10.3)

ISO 9001 requires a systematic internal audit program and continuous improvement process. While SyteLine does not include a dedicated audit management module, the quality module's NCR, CAPA, and reporting features support audit finding tracking and improvement project management. Configure SyteLine to capture audit findings, track corrective actions, and measure improvement effectiveness.

  • Track internal audit findings as NCRs on the Non-Conformance form with audit-specific source codes and finding classification (Major, Minor, Observation)
  • Link audit findings to corrective action requests using the SLQualityCorrectiveActions.SourceType field set to Audit for traceability
  • Configure improvement project tracking using SyteLine's project management features or quality action items linked to management review objectives
  • Set up periodic quality system review reports aggregating NCR trends, CAPA status, customer feedback, and process metrics for continuous improvement evidence
  • Enable training record management linked to employee records for ISO 9001 Clause 7.2 competence requirements and training effectiveness verification
