Field prefixes and file layouts can differ by release and local modification. Confirm column names on your own system, for example with the data dictionary or by listing columns from QSYS2.SYSCOLUMNS. This list is general guidance and not a complete data model.

Optional help mapping World data

If you are building a field-level mapping from World files, we can discuss ways to speed it up and reconcile the result.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.

How to use the reference

Search by file number, name or module. For example, type ledger to find the general ledger and payables ledgers, or type item to see the inventory files. Use the prefix column to recognize field names: in F0911 the amount is GLAA, and the account is GLAID. Combine this with the SQL generator to list columns and count rows. Export the filtered list to Excel or CSV to include in a mapping workbook or a data dictionary document.

How World files fit together

World follows a consistent pattern. Master files such as F0101 for addresses and F4101 for items hold the entity. Branch or company level files, such as F4102 and F03012, add context by location or role. Transaction files, such as F4211 and F0911, hold the activity. Ledger and balance files, such as F0911 and F0902, give a detailed and summarized view of the same accounting. User defined codes in F0005 supply descriptions for coded fields across the system.

  • Address number links F0101 to customers and suppliers
  • Item and branch plant link F4101, F4102 and F41021
  • Order number and type link headers to detail
  • F0005 explains codes used throughout

Cautions for reporting and migration

Do not assume that every file is populated, as some are only used when a feature is turned on. Dates are often stored in CYYDDD Julian format and amounts without a decimal point. Status codes such as order next and last status are user-defined and differ between companies. When mapping for migration, confirm with sample data and reconcile totals, such as ledger balances against F0902, rather than relying on file descriptions alone. Local modifications may add fields or files that never appear in a standard list.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the F0911 file in JD Edwards World?

F0911 is the Account Ledger, the detailed general ledger. It holds one record per ledger transaction, with account, amount, date, document number and posting status. F0902 holds period balances summarized from it.

Are World and EnterpriseOne table names the same?

Many core file names, such as F0101, F0911 and F4101, are shared in concept and name, but column definitions and details differ. Do not assume a direct match, and verify layouts in each system.

How do I see the columns of a World file?

Use the data dictionary in World, or query QSYS2.SYSCOLUMNS in DB2 for i with the library and file name. Column names start with the file prefix, such as GL for F0911.

Is this list complete?

No. It covers frequently used files across the main modules. World has many more files, and your system may contain custom ones. Treat it as a starting point for exploration.

If you are mapping World data into another system, Netray can discuss an approach that reads from the files and reconciles to the ledger. The reference is free to use.
