Practice in a Pilot, Education or other test environment, never in Live. Screen names follow the names Kinetic users work with; the browser menu sometimes drops the words Entry or Maintenance, and some screens depend on licensed modules, so if a name does not appear, search the menu for the record name or ask your administrator.

Questions

Where do I find official Epicor training?

In Epicor Learning. The Epicor Learning Center (learncenter.epicor.com) has on-demand courses, role-based learning paths, skill-based agendas and videos for all core Epicor ERP products, and is where instructor-led training from Epicor Professional Services is booked. Epicor says customers with full access get the entire catalog, while essential courses are available at no cost to others. Full-access pricing is not published.

What is Epicor and what does Epicor Kinetic do?

Epicor Software Corporation makes ERP for manufacturing, distribution, automotive, building supply and retail. Kinetic is its ERP for manufacturers, aimed at discrete and make-to-order production, with sales, supply chain, production, planning and scheduling, quality, financials, CRM and project management. Epicor describes it as cloud-focused, with on-premises and hybrid deployment also available.

Is Epicor Kinetic the same as Epicor ERP 10?

Kinetic is the current name of the same product line. Epicor ERP 10 ran to release 10.2.700; later releases carry year-based numbers such as 2021.1, 2025.2 and 2026.100. Kinetic also names the browser user experience that is replacing the Classic client, so many screen names carry over while the screens look different.

How often does Kinetic change, and how does that affect training?

Epicor's 2026.100 release post says that from May 2026 Kinetic moves from a semi-annual model to a monthly CI/CD cadence with smaller updates. Plan a short delta review each month: read the release information in the Help & Support Panel or EpicCare and rerun the lessons for any screen that changed.

Is there an Epicor Kinetic certification?

Not as a public exam. Epicor describes a product certification program for its channel partners, who are required to maintain certifications across the portfolio. Customers and independent consultants learn through the Epicor Learning Center; if you need the credential, the route is through an Epicor channel partner.

What does an Epicor customization developer need to learn?

Business Activity Queries, Application Studio layers, data views and data rules, user-defined fields and UD tables, BPM method and data directives, Epicor Functions, REST v2 with API keys and access scopes, DMT, and Solution Workbench to move changes between environments. Classic customizations need a plan to move to the browser.

How do Epicor dashboards and Epicor Data Analytics differ?

A Kinetic dashboard is built on BAQs inside Kinetic, today in Application Studio. Epicor Data Analytics (EDA) is Epicor's analytics and reporting tool on ERP-native data models, and Epicor Grow is a separate cloud BI platform with ETL, a data warehouse and visualization. Start with BAQs and dashboards; add EDA or Grow when you need cross-system or historical analysis.

Can I practice in my Live environment?

No. Use Pilot, Education or another test environment; Epicor's cloud packages include Production, Pilot and Education environments. Many lessons post transactions, change security or deploy directives that you do not want in Live.
