3Schedule
Lessons are spread over working days. A lesson that does not fit in a week moves to the next one.
Practice in a cloned test or training instance, never in production. Window and page names follow the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 documentation. Menu paths depend on the responsibility you use, so if a window is not on your menu, search for it in the Navigator or ask your system administrator.

Questions
Where do I find official Oracle EBS training?
Oracle University delivers training on Oracle MyLearn. Search the catalog there for current E-Business Suite courses and any certification exams, as the offer changes over time. The free Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 documentation library on docs.oracle.com has user guides, implementation guides and the developer and maintenance guides used in this plan.
Is there an Oracle EBS user guide for beginners?
Yes. The Oracle E-Business Suite User's Guide covers the Home page, Navigator, Favorites, the Worklist, searching with Find and Query by Example, folders, attachments, exporting records and running and monitoring concurrent requests. Each product, for example Order Management, Purchasing or Payables, also has its own user guide.
What should an Oracle EBS beginner learn first?
Start with navigation: responsibilities and the Navigator, Find and Query by Example, folders, submitting requests and reading their output. Then learn the windows of your area, for example Sales Orders, Release Sales Orders for Picking and Shipping Transactions for order fulfillment, or the Invoice Workbench for Payables.
What is a responsibility in Oracle EBS?
A responsibility is a level of authority that controls which functions and data a user can access. It ties a menu, a request group and a data group together, and users are assigned one or more responsibilities in the Users window.
How long does it take to learn Oracle EBS?
It depends on the role and modules. Use the builder: an end user with two modules is a few weeks at a few hours a week, while a functional consultant covering a dozen modules with advanced lessons is several times that. The plan shows total hours and a finish date for your choices.
What does an Oracle EBS developer need to learn?
Registering concurrent programs with the Concurrent Program Executable and Concurrent Programs windows, PL/SQL with FND_FILE and FND_REQUEST, flexfields and value sets, Forms Personalization, OA Framework personalization, BI Publisher templates, Oracle Workflow, open interface tables, and public APIs exposed through the Integration Repository and Integrated SOA Gateway.
What does an Oracle EBS 12.2 DBA need to learn?
The dual run and patch file systems and the adop online patching cycle (prepare, apply, finalize, cutover, cleanup, plus abort and fs_clone), AD Administration, AutoConfig, cloning, concurrent manager administration and Oracle Applications Manager.
Can I practice in my production EBS instance?
No. Use a cloned test or training instance. Many lessons post transactions, close periods, change setup or create users and responsibilities that you do not want in production.
