MRPeasy Forecasting, Trial, Support and Cancellation

Question
mrpeasy forecasting

Also searched as

  • mrpeasy demand forecast
  • mrpeasy trial
  • mrpeasy support
  • mrpeasy consultant
  • how to cancel mrpeasy subscription

Short answer

MRPeasy plans from customer orders, stock levels and reorder rules, and works well when demand is mostly known orders. It is not a statistical forecasting engine, so teams with forecast-driven demand usually add a spreadsheet or an external model. This page also covers trial evaluation, support routes and how to exit cleanly.

Applies to: MRPeasy cloud manufacturing software; features and plan terms change, so confirm in the product and the vendor's terms

How to evaluate and run planning in MRPeasy

  1. 1During the trial, load 20 to 50 real items with their bills of materials, routings and suppliers rather than the sample data.
  2. 2Enter real customer orders and run the planning view to see material shortages and suggested purchases or manufacturing orders.
  3. 3Set minimum stock or reorder levels for items whose demand is not tied to an order.
  4. 4If you plan from a sales forecast, test whether it can be entered as planned demand in your plan, or maintain it outside and enter the resulting orders.
  5. 5Test integrations you need, such as accounting and your store, and the API if you will script anything.
  6. 6Contact support with two or three real questions and judge response time and quality before you buy.
  7. 7Decide whether you need a consultant for data migration and routings, and define scope and fixed price.

What forecasting means here

MRP calculates requirements from demand you give it. If demand is firm customer orders, planning is accurate. For make-to-stock items you either set reorder points, or create planned orders reflecting a forecast you produce yourself. Statistical forecasting from history, with seasonality and error measures, is generally a separate tool.

A pragmatic setup is to compute a monthly forecast in a spreadsheet or notebook from sales history, enter it as planned demand for key items and review it each month against actuals.

Support, consultants and the trial

The vendor offers support through its help center and ticket channel, and there are independent implementation consultants. Use a consultant for data cleanup, BOM structure and routing design, where the cost of getting it wrong shows up months later.

Judge the trial on whether your hardest real scenario works: a multi-level BOM with a long lead time purchase and a partial shipment. A demo of a simple product proves little.

Exiting: data export and cancellation

To cancel a subscription, use the account or billing area of the application or contact the vendor, and check the notice period and what happens to your data afterwards. Before cancelling, export items, BOMs, customers, suppliers, open orders, stock levels and transaction history to CSV, and keep a copy that is readable without the product.

Run both systems in parallel for one close if you are switching, and reconcile stock and open orders before you switch off the old one.

Common pitfalls

  • !Judging the trial on demo data only.
  • !Expecting statistical demand forecasting from an MRP planning module.
  • !Cancelling before exporting historical transactions and costs.
  • !Hiring a consultant with no fixed scope for migration.
  • !Leaving integrations and API keys active after switching systems.

How an ERP-grounded AI assistant handles this

A private assistant can analyse sales history exported from MRPeasy, propose monthly forecasts by item and explain the assumptions, leaving you to approve the planned demand. Because it runs locally, your sales history never leaves your own network.

Frequently asked questions

Does MRPeasy have demand forecasting?

It plans from orders, stock and reorder rules. Statistical forecasting from history is generally handled outside, with the forecast entered as planned demand or as reorder levels.

Is there a free trial?

The vendor has offered a trial period. Check the current terms on its site, and test with real data, not the sample dataset.

How do I cancel an MRPeasy subscription?

Use the account or billing settings or contact the vendor, after checking notice periods. Export all master and transaction data to CSV first, since access to it may end with the subscription.

Do I need a consultant?

Not for a simple setup. For complex BOMs, routings or a migration from another system, a consultant with a fixed scope often saves time and avoids structural mistakes.

MRPeasy Materials Shortage: Plan Purchases Correctly

MRPeasy compares the demand from customer orders and manufacturing orders with available stock, booked stock and open purchase orders, and flags what is short. To act on it, review the shortages, confirm item lead times and minimum stock levels, then create purchase or manufacturing orders and re-check planned dates.

How to Compare Planned vs Actual Cost in MRPeasy

MRPeasy builds a planned cost from the bill of materials, routing and rates, then records actual cost as materials are consumed and work is reported on the manufacturing order. To find a variance, compare the two on the order itself and then drill into material price, quantity used, and time booked.

Katana MRP Integrations and the MRPeasy REST API

Katana and MRPeasy both offer native connectors for common sales channels and accounting systems, plus a REST API for everything else. Use the native connector for orders and stock sync, and the API for custom reports, ERP links and missing fields. Always check which direction each connector syncs and what it ignores.

MRPeasy Xero Integration (and Shopify)

MRPeasy offers integrations with Xero for accounting and with Shopify for sales orders and stock. In general, Xero receives invoices and related accounting documents from MRPeasy, and Shopify sends orders into MRPeasy while MRPeasy sends available stock back. Check the current integration documentation for exact fields and limits.

Fix Odoo AccessError: You Are Not Allowed to Access Records

Odoo raises AccessError when a user's security groups do not grant a CRUD right on a model through ir.model.access.csv, or when an ir.rule record rule filters the specific record out for that user or company. Fix it by adding the user to the group named in the error, editing the model's access rights, or reviewing the record rule's domain under Settings > Technical > Security.
