Question
mrpeasy xero integration

Also searched as

  • mrpeasy shopify inventory sync

Short answer

MRPeasy offers integrations with Xero for accounting and with Shopify for sales orders and stock. In general, Xero receives invoices and related accounting documents from MRPeasy, and Shopify sends orders into MRPeasy while MRPeasy sends available stock back. Check the current integration documentation for exact fields and limits.

How to connect MRPeasy to Xero and Shopify

  1. 1Clean your master data first: unique item codes, matching customer names and tax rates that exist on both sides.
  2. 2In MRPeasy open the integrations area of settings and choose Xero. Authorize the connection with a Xero user who has advisor or standard rights on the organisation.
  3. 3Map accounts and tax codes: sales account, purchase account, VAT or GST codes, and currency settings.
  4. 4Choose what to sync, such as customer invoices and supplier bills, and set the start date so history is not duplicated.
  5. 5Connect Shopify the same way from integrations, authorizing your store, and map the store SKUs to MRPeasy item codes.
  6. 6Place a test order in Shopify, confirm it appears in MRPeasy as a customer order, ship it and confirm the invoice reaches Xero.
  7. 7Add reconciliation: compare invoice totals and stock monthly, and investigate every difference.

What typically syncs, and what does not

The accounting link usually sends sales invoices and purchase documents from MRPeasy to Xero so that the ledger and bank reconciliation stay in Xero. It is normally one direction. Payments recorded in Xero may or may not update MRPeasy, so check the documented behavior before you design collection workflows.

On the store side, orders come in and available stock goes out. Variants, bundles, partial shipments, refunds and discount codes are the usual weak points. List which ones you have and test each.

Limitations and API workarounds

When the connector cannot do something, such as syncing a custom field, handling a special tax case or pushing a shipment tracking number, the MRPeasy REST API and the Xero and Shopify APIs let you build a small bridge. Run it on a schedule, store external IDs for idempotency, and log failures.

Keep the bridge narrow. It is cheaper to change a process, for example invoicing weekly from one place, than to maintain a custom sync indefinitely.

Controlling the first sync

The first sync is where duplicates appear. Set a go-live date, ensure open invoices before that date are handled manually, and sync one document type at a time. Take a Xero backup export before the first run so you can compare.

Common pitfalls

  • !Syncing from the beginning of time and duplicating historical invoices in Xero.
  • !Tax code mismatch, causing invoices that do not match the ledger.
  • !Shopify SKUs that do not equal MRPeasy codes, losing order lines.
  • !Assuming Xero payments flow back to MRPeasy.
  • !Editing a synced invoice in both systems.

A private assistant can compare MRPeasy invoice exports with Xero reports, list mismatched totals or missing documents and suggest the likely cause, such as a tax code. Running on your own hardware keeps your financial exports away from public services.

Frequently asked questions

Does MRPeasy integrate with Xero?

Yes, MRPeasy lists a Xero integration for accounting documents. Check the current documentation for exactly which document types sync and in which direction.

Does MRPeasy sync with Shopify?

Yes, a Shopify integration brings store orders into MRPeasy and sends stock levels back. Test variants, bundles and partial shipments, which are the usual gaps.

Can I sync more than the connector offers?

Often through the REST APIs of MRPeasy and the other tool, with a small scheduled service that stores external IDs and logs every call. Keep it narrow to limit maintenance.

How do I avoid duplicate invoices in Xero?

Set a sync start date, handle older invoices manually, sync one document type at a time and reconcile totals after the first run.

Katana MRP Integrations and the MRPeasy REST API

Katana and MRPeasy both offer native connectors for common sales channels and accounting systems, plus a REST API for everything else. Use the native connector for orders and stock sync, and the API for custom reports, ERP links and missing fields. Always check which direction each connector syncs and what it ignores.

Error fix

Fix Katana and Shopify Inventory Not Syncing

When Katana and Shopify disagree on stock, the cause is almost always a SKU mismatch, a location mapping problem, or a misunderstanding of which system owns the number. Katana pushes available stock to Shopify by matching variants on SKU, so fix the SKUs and the location settings first, then force a resync.

How-to

MRPeasy Forecasting, Trial, Support and Cancellation

MRPeasy plans from customer orders, stock levels and reorder rules, and works well when demand is mostly known orders. It is not a statistical forecasting engine, so teams with forecast-driven demand usually add a spreadsheet or an external model. This page also covers trial evaluation, support routes and how to exit cleanly.

How-to

MRPeasy Custom Fields

MRPeasy lets administrators extend records with additional fields in its settings, so you can store information such as drawing revision, customer part number or inspection class on items and documents. Availability by record type and plan varies, so confirm in your account, and remember that a custom field stores data but does not by itself change planning logic.

How to Create a Generic Inquiry in Acumatica

Generic Inquiries (GI) are Acumatica's no-code query builder for joining tables, adding filters, and exposing the result as an inquiry screen, dashboard data source, or API endpoint. Open System > Customization > Generic Inquiry, add your base table, define joins and conditions, then run and save. No SQL or customization project is required.

Fix Odoo AccessError: You Are Not Allowed to Access Records

Odoo raises AccessError when a user's security groups do not grant a CRUD right on a model through ir.model.access.csv, or when an ir.rule record rule filters the specific record out for that user or company. Fix it by adding the user to the group named in the error, editing the model's access rights, or reviewing the record rule's domain under Settings > Technical > Security.
