Kingdee BOM Import Worksheet (Excel Export)

Loading bills of material is one of the most error-prone steps in a Kingdee implementation. This worksheet lets you prepare and check BOM lines before you touch the import template, with gross quantity and extended cost calculated for you.

Field names, required columns and validation rules differ by Kingdee product and release, so match your final column layout to the official import template for your version. Use this sheet to validate quantities, scrap and cost before loading, and keep one BOM version per parent per sheet.

Optional BOM data validation help

Share a sample of your BOM extract and we will suggest automated checks before your Kingdee load.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.

How to use the worksheet

Enter one row per component for a parent material and BOM version. Use the numerator and denominator to express usage, for example 1 litre of lubricant for every 50 parents is numerator 1 and denominator 50. Add the scrap rate as a percentage. The sheet calculates gross quantity per parent and extended cost, and totals material cost. When the data is clean, export to Excel and copy it into the official Kingdee import template for your release.

  • One BOM version per parent per block
  • Use consistent unit codes with your material master
  • Check that all parents and components exist before import
  • Review the highest-cost lines first

The formulas

Gross quantity per parent equals numerator divided by denominator, multiplied by one plus the scrap rate expressed as a fraction. Extended cost is gross quantity times unit cost. For the example screw, four per parent with 3 percent scrap gives 4.12 pieces. Material cost per parent is the sum of extended costs across all lines, which you can compare against the standard cost your cost accountants hold.

Data quality checks before import

Most BOM load failures come from missing materials, unit mismatches, circular references and duplicate component lines. Before import, confirm every parent and component code exists in the material master with the same unit, that no component appears twice in the same BOM version unless intended, and that quantities are positive. Also verify that phantom items, substitutes and effectivity dates are handled as your Kingdee release expects.

Common mistakes

Frequent errors include swapping numerator and denominator, entering scrap as a fraction in a percent column, mixing units such as grams and kilograms, and loading engineering BOMs where production BOMs are needed. Always cost one or two finished goods by hand and compare with the sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do numerator and denominator mean in a Kingdee BOM?

They express component usage as a ratio. Numerator is the component quantity and denominator is the parent quantity it applies to. This allows fractional usage, such as one litre per fifty parents, without rounding errors from decimal quantities.

Is this sheet the official Kingdee import template?

No. It is a preparation and validation aid. The official template, column names and mandatory fields depend on your Kingdee product and release, so always map this data into that template before loading.

How should I enter scrap?

Enter it as a percentage of the required quantity, such as 2 for 2 percent. The sheet increases the gross quantity by that percentage. If your Kingdee setup also uses fixed loss quantities, track those separately.

Can I use this for other ERPs?

Yes, the numerator and denominator logic and the cost roll-up apply to any ERP BOM. Just map the columns to the target system's import layout and respect its own rules for versions, phantoms and units.

If you have thousands of BOMs to clean and load, Netray and its partners can help build repeatable validation scripts. Checks can run locally so engineering data does not leave your network.
