Session codes and names are taken from the LN 10.x Tools online help. Most dictionary and company changes do nothing until they are converted to runtime. Always take a backup before Convert / Recover Tables or Reorganize Tables on production.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.
How to use it
Search by code (ttaad4230m000), by name (Create Tables) or by area (Patching). The Next step column is the useful part: most Tools changes are two-step, because LN works from a runtime data dictionary. A new company, generic unit, logical table mapping or user only takes effect after a convert to runtime, and a new table definition only becomes a physical table after Create Tables. The Run as column is guidance: in most sites these sessions are restricted to the Tools super user or a named admin role.
Where this lives in LN
Session codes follow the package, module, number pattern: tt is the Tools package, aad is Application Administration, adv is Application Development, pmc is Product Maintenance and Control, txt is texts. daxch belongs to the data exchange module and tcbod to Common BOD setup. You can start any session by code from the LN UI or Web UI with the Run Program dialog. For session naming in general and module codes see the separate LN session code reference.
- Company work: ttaad1100m000, ttaad4120m000, ttaad4230m000
- Data dictionary: ttadv4520m000 then ttadv5215m000
- Code: ttadv2530m000 then ttadv2230m000
- Patches: ttpmc2102m000 and ttpmc2101m000
Worked example: adding a test company
An admin needs company 900 as a copy-test company. In Companies (ttaad1100m000) the admin creates 900 with its package combination. If some Financials tables should point to an existing company, Logical Tables (ttaad4120m000) maps them. After converting to runtime, Create Tables (ttaad4230m000) builds the physical tables for company 900, and Check Tables (ttaad4232m000) confirms they open. Data is then loaded with Create Sequential Dump of Table (ttaad4226m000) from production and Create Table from Sequential Dump (ttaad4227m000) into 900.
Version differences and gotchas
Most sessions here are stable across LN 10.3 to 10.7, but options inside them change between releases, so check the session help for your version. Reorganize Tables and Convert / Recover Tables lock tables; run them in a maintenance window. Patch sessions work on the update VRC, not on your customer VRC, so solution conflicts with customisations must be resolved before you install. Generic unit changes only reach users after conversion to the runtime file.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Infor LN session code?
A session code such as ttaad4230m000 combines package (tt), module (aad), a number (4230) and a suffix (m000 for main sessions, s for subsessions). You can type it in the run program dialog to open the session directly instead of using menus.
How do I create tables for a new company in LN?
Define the company in Companies (ttaad1100m000), add logical table mappings in ttaad4120m000 if needed, convert to runtime, then run Create Tables (ttaad4230m000) for the company and package range. Check the result with Check Tables (ttaad4232m000).
How do I install an LN solution or patch?
Scan the solution or patch file with Scan Solution/Patch File (ttpmc2200s000), then use Process Solutions (ttpmc2101m000) or Process Patches (ttpmc2102m000) to check and install it into the update VRC. Read the installation instructions, then convert to runtime and compile as they require, and test before moving on.
Is there an official Infor LN administrator guide?
Yes. Infor publishes the Enterprise Server Administration Guide and the LN Tools online help on docs.infor.com. This page is a working index of the sessions you use most, with the follow-up step, and does not replace those guides.
If you want admins to ask LN about jobs, tables and patch status in plain English on your own servers, we can add that layer for you.
