Infor M3 Program Reference: MMS001, OIS100, PMS100 and Other Common Programs

Every M3 consultant ends up memorising a dozen program codes and still searching for the rest. This lookup lists commonly used M3 programs such as MMS001, OIS100 and PMS100 with area, purpose and the related MI program. Filter by typing a code or a word.

Look up which programs, tables and fields are related

Names and menu paths vary by M3 version and by how your site has localised them. Treat this as a navigation aid and confirm in your own tenant using Find Program or the program documentation. MI program names should be checked in the API repository of your environment.

Ask your M3 data in plain English

Optional: see how a read-only assistant over your M3 data and documentation could answer program and status questions.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.

How to use the reference

Type a program code (for example OIS100) or a word (for example supplier) into the search box. The table narrows to matching rows. Use the export buttons to take the table to Excel for a workshop pack or into a PDF cheat sheet for a go-live support team. Add your own rows in the exported file for custom or localised programs that your site uses.

How M3 program codes are structured

M3 programs have a three-letter prefix that points to the application area and a three-digit number: CRS for common and company settings, MMS for materials management, OIS for customer orders, PPS for purchasing, PMS for production, PDS for product structure. The same logic is used by the MI programs, where the program number is followed by MI, such as MMS200MI. Knowing this lets you guess the right area before you search.

  • CRS: customers, suppliers, facilities, general settings
  • MMS: items, warehouses, stock transactions
  • OIS: customer order entry and settings
  • PPS: purchase orders and supplier agreements
  • PMS and PDS: manufacturing orders and product structures

Common mistakes

The usual errors are working in the wrong company or division, forgetting that many settings programs are per facility or warehouse, and assuming that a program open in one version has the same panels in another. Always check the panel sequence and the field help (F1) in your version. Another frequent mistake is editing master data in a program while an integration also writes through the MI program, which can overwrite the change.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does MMS001 do in Infor M3?

MMS001 is the item program used to create and maintain item master basic data such as item number, description, item type, item group, status and basic unit of measure. Warehouse-level data is then added in MMS002 for each warehouse the item is stocked in.

What is OIS100 used for?

OIS100 is the customer order program. Users enter new orders, change headers and lines, check order status and navigate to related programs such as delivery and invoicing from the options menu.

How do I find a program I do not know the code of?

Use the program search or the menu structure in M3, search the program documentation, or look at the cross-reference tool. For API work, search the API repository for the MI program that sits behind the business object you need.

Is this list complete?

No. M3 has thousands of programs. This reference covers programs that come up in most implementations and support cases. Add the ones your site relies on after exporting, and check names against your own version.

If your team keeps answering the same where-do-I-find-this questions, an assistant grounded in your own M3 documentation and read-only data can answer them. Netray can scope that with you.
