JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Core Table Reference (F0911, F4801, F41021 and more)

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne table names look cryptic until you know the pattern: an F, a system code, and a sequence, with every column prefixed by two letters. This reference lists the tables CNC admins, report writers and functional consultants reach for most, with the prefix and the fields that usually go in a WHERE clause.

Most JDE tables store dates as Julian values (CYYDDD) and amounts without decimals, so convert before reporting. Table and field names are the standard ones; confirm against the Data Dictionary and Object Librarian in your own release, since customised or added fields differ.

Ask your JDE data in plain English

Optional: a short review of how a read-only natural language layer could sit over your JDE tables.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.

How to use the reference

Type a table number, a description word or a column prefix into the search box. For example, searching for GL finds F0911, and searching for work order finds F4801, F3111 and F3112. Use the key column to decide which fields to filter on first so your query hits the table index. Export the filtered list to Excel or CSV when you are building a data dictionary for a reporting or integration project.

How JDE names tables and columns

A table name is F plus the product system code plus a sequence, so F0911 belongs to system 09 (General Accounting) and F4801 to system 48. Column names take a two-letter prefix that is unique per table, followed by the data dictionary alias. GLDOC is the document number column in F0911 (prefix GL), and WADOCO is the order number in F4801 (prefix WA). Once you know the prefix you can read an unfamiliar SQL statement quickly.

  • Tables live in business data libraries or schemas such as PRODDTA, TESTDTA and CRPDTA.
  • Control tables such as F0005 and F00921 usually live in PRODCTL.
  • Views start with V and are not listed here.

Reading values correctly

Dates are stored as Julian numbers in CYYDDD form, where C is the century offset from 1900, YY the year and DDD the day of year. Amounts are stored as integers with implied decimals, so GLAA of 123456 is 1,234.56 in a two-decimal currency. Business unit values such as GLMCU are right justified and padded with spaces, so compare with LTRIM or pad your literal.

Common mistakes

Querying production tables with a full scan during business hours, forgetting the ledger type filter on F0911 and F0902 (AA is actual, BA is budget), and joining on item number fields without noticing that the short item number ITM and the second item number LITM are different columns. Always test in a copy path code first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the F in F0911 mean?

F marks a file or table in the JD Edwards naming convention. The next digits are the system code and a sequence, so F0911 is a table in system 09, General Accounting. Business functions start with B, applications with P and batch reports with R.

Why are JDE dates numbers like 126292?

JDE stores dates in Julian form CYYDDD. The first digit is years since 1900 divided by 100, then two digits for the year and three for the day of year. 126292 is day 292 of 2026, which is 19 October 2026.

Where do the amounts get their decimals?

The database holds integers. The Data Dictionary item defines display decimals, and for amount fields the currency decides the scale. In most currencies you divide by 100 to get the real value, but zero and three decimal currencies differ.

Is this list complete?

No. EnterpriseOne has thousands of tables. This list covers the ones most queried in distribution, manufacturing and financials. For anything else search the Object Librarian or the Data Dictionary in your own environment.

If you spend time hunting for the right JDE table, we can put a natural language layer over your JDE data that shows the SQL it runs, read-only and under your existing roles.
