This reference lists the SAP ECC 6.0 tables and transactions for shipments (LE-TRA) and shipment costs, with key fields and the join path from delivery to shipment cost document. Use it to build freight reports or trace why a shipment has no cost document.

The join path from delivery to freight cost
Start at LIKP with the delivery number. VTTP has one row per delivery in a shipment, so VTTP-VBELN = LIKP-VBELN gives the shipment number TKNUM; one delivery can sit in more than one shipment (for example a preliminary leg and a main leg). VTTK holds the shipment header. Shipment cost items in VFKP point back to the shipment through REBEL (referenced document) with REFTY as the document category, so VFKP-REBEL = VTTK-TKNUM finds the cost items, and VFKK is their header through FKNUM. Calculated amounts sit in the pricing conditions (KONV through VFKP-KNUMV) and are split to delivery items in VFSI. Account assignment for settlement is in VFKN.

Worked example: freight cost per delivery
A controller wants freight cost for delivery 80001234. VTTP returns shipment 0000004711, item 0001. VFKP with REBEL = 0000004711 returns shipment cost document 0000000123, item 000001, with net value in NETWR and KNUMV 0000876543. VFSI with KNUMV 0000876543 lists sub-items per delivery item, each with its share of the cost in NETWR, so summing VFSI for VBELN 80001234 gives that delivery's freight. VFKN shows the cost center or G/L the cost was assigned to when the document was transferred, which creates a service purchase order and entry sheet for settlement with the carrier.
Version differences and gotchas
STTRG in VTTK is the overall status: blank planned, 1 planning completed, 2 check-in, 3 loading start, 4 loading end, 5 shipment completion, 6 shipment start, 7 shipment end. Shipment cost relevance comes from the shipment type and the item category of the shipment cost type, so a shipment can exist without any VFKK. Do not assume VTTK disappears in an S/4HANA upgrade: LE-TRA is still delivered, and the decision to move to SAP TM is separate. Check the Simplification List for your target release instead of searching for a replacement table that may not exist.
How to check the result in the system
Open the shipment in VT03N and use Environment > Document flow to see the delivery and shipment cost documents. In VI03, the cost item's detail shows the reference to the shipment and the settlement data. If your SE16N join and the document flow disagree, check VTFA, which stores the shipment flow.

VFKK is the shipment cost header (key FKNUM) and VFKP holds the shipment cost items (FKNUM, FKPOS). Sub-items per delivery item are in VFSI, linked through the condition number KNUMV, and account assignment for settlement is in VFKN.
What is the transaction code for shipment cost in SAP?
