Warehouse Mobility transaction names follow the Factory Track CSI Warehouse Mobility user guide (Using Warehouse Mobility on a Mobile Scanner). Time Track rows describe functional areas; exact menu labels depend on your release and configuration, so check the Infor Factory Track for CSI Time Track User Guide. Kanban, QCS and SRO transactions also exist and require the related modules.

Get scanner work instructions for your site

Tell us which Factory Track transactions each role uses and we will return a one-page scanner instruction per role, matched to your locations and labels.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.

How to use it

Search by transaction name or by what you are trying to do: receive, issue, move, count, ship. Use the table to write scanner work instructions, to train new warehouse staff, or to decide which transaction to give each role on its scanner menu. Export to Excel and add columns for your own site: which users get the transaction, which label prints, which location type is involved. When a user reports a wrong stock figure, the gotcha column usually points to the transaction that caused it.

  • Give each role only the transactions it needs on its menu.
  • Train with real barcodes in a test environment, not screenshots.

How Factory Track relates to CSI

Factory Track runs alongside CloudSuite Industrial and posts the scanned transaction into CSI in real time, so a Job Material Issue on the scanner appears as an issue against the job material in CSI, and a Purchase Order Receipt appears as a receipt on the PO line. The CSI forms remain the system of record. Warehouse Mobility covers receiving, inventory, counting, picking, shipping and production reporting; Time Track covers attendance and labor; the Shop Floor module adds Kanban and shop floor transactions. Some transactions, such as the PPS ones, require the matching CSI functionality to be enabled.

Picking and shipping: three different flows

Customer Order Picking reserves items and moves them to a staging location; Customer Order Shipping then ships only those reserved, staged items. Pick N Ship does both in one step from regular locations and handles reservable and non-reservable items. The PPS transactions follow SyteLine Pick, Pack, and Ship with pick lists, packing and shipping. Pick one flow per warehouse or customer type and stick to it. Mixing them on the same orders is the common cause of shipments that look picked but never ship, or stock reserved at staging that nobody can find.

Production transactions and job cost

Job Material Issue, Job Material UnIssue, WIP Move and Job Receipt drive job cost in CSI. Return unused material with Job Material UnIssue rather than a Miscellaneous Receipt, or the job keeps the cost of material it did not use. Issuing outside the BOM is allowed and changes job cost, which is correct for substitutions and wrong for mistakes. WIP Move can complete operations and close the job; closing too early blocks later postings. If both Labor Reporting and Time Track record labor, decide which one books job hours so the same time is not posted twice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Infor Factory Track Warehouse Mobility?

It is the barcode scanning module of Infor Factory Track. Warehouse staff use handheld scanners or the Android app to receive, move, count, pick, ship and report production, and each transaction posts to CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) or LN in real time.

What is the difference between Pick N Ship and Customer Order Shipping?

Customer Order Shipping ships items already reserved and moved to a staging location by Customer Order Picking. Pick N Ship picks and ships order lines in one step from regular locations, without a staging step, for both reservable and non-reservable items.

How do I return material issued to a job in Factory Track?

Use Job Material UnIssue. It returns unconsumed issued material to a stock location and reverses the issue against the job. Avoid Miscellaneous Receipt for this, because it leaves the cost on the job and records a receipt with no link to it.

Does Factory Track replace CSI forms?

No. Factory Track gives scanner and kiosk transactions for floor and warehouse users, and posts them into CSI. Planning, setup, costing, inquiries and corrections that need full context are still done in CSI forms by office users.
