Oracle Fusion Data Conversion Tracker Worksheet

Data conversion decides most Oracle Fusion go-live dates, and it fails quietly when nobody reconciles counts. This worksheet tracks every object per mock cycle and shows error rates and unaccounted records automatically.

A non-zero Unaccounted value means records were neither loaded nor reported as errors: investigate before the next cycle. Use one row per object per cycle.

Conversion reconciliation help

Describe your conversion objects and we will suggest a reconciliation approach.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.

How to use the tracker

Add one row per object per cycle. Enter source records extracted from legacy, records loaded and records in error. The sheet computes the error rate and the unaccounted records, which is source minus loaded minus errors. Export to Excel for the weekly steering pack, or share the PDF.

  • One row per object per cycle
  • Fill owner and target date from the start
  • Investigate every non-zero Unaccounted value

The reconciliation logic

Every record in a load should end in exactly one of three states: loaded, errored, or deliberately excluded. Unaccounted records reveal filtering bugs, dropped rows or partial loads. Error rate is errors divided by source records, shown as a percentage. Falling error rates across Mock 1, 2 and 3 are the evidence of a converging process.

Common mistakes

Teams track only loaded counts and miss silent drops. Others compare counts but never compare values such as on-hand quantity or valuation. Counts are necessary but not sufficient, so add value reconciliation for inventory, open orders and balances in a separate tab.

  • Reconcile quantities and values, not only counts
  • Keep error reasons categorized for root cause
  • Freeze extract logic between cycles

Frequently Asked Questions

What error rate is acceptable?

There is no universal number. Early mocks often show several percent. The goal is a steadily falling rate and zero unaccounted records, with remaining errors understood and either fixed or consciously excluded by the data owner.

How many mock loads should I plan?

At least three cycles are common for core objects, with a final dress rehearsal. Complex objects such as open work orders and on-hand balances may need more because they depend on cutover timing.

Does this replace the FBDI error reports?

No. Oracle import processes provide detailed error output. This worksheet summarizes outcomes so management can see progress and spot trends across objects.

Can I add more columns?

Export to Excel and extend it with columns such as error category, fix owner and re-run date. Keep the same row structure so the formulas remain valid.
