Transaction codes are for classic SAP GUI. In S/4HANA some are replaced by Fiori apps or by newer codes (for example cost elements are maintained as G/L accounts through FS00). Check availability in your release with SE93 or the Fiori apps reference library.

How to use the table
Type part of a code or a word from the description into the search box, for example payment, settlement or depreciation. Use the area column to see which module owns the code, then export the filtered view to Excel or PDF for a team cheat sheet. The list is deliberately focused on daily posting, period end and master data work rather than every code in the system.
- Search by code (F110) or by task (reverse document).
- Filter by area such as FI-AP, FI-AA or CO-OM-CCA.
- Export a short list for onboarding new finance users.
How the codes map to the finance process
Daily work starts in FI: FB50 and FB01 for G/L postings, FB60 and FB70 for vendor and customer invoices, F-53 and F-28 for manual payments, and F110 for the automated vendor payment run. Period end adds F.05 or FAGL_FC_VAL for foreign currency valuation, AFAB for depreciation, AJAB for asset year-end closing and OB52 to open and close posting periods. In CO, KS01 creates cost centers, KP26 plans activity prices, KSU5 and KSV5 run allocations, and KO88 or CO88 settle orders.
ECC versus S/4HANA differences
In S/4HANA Finance the universal journal (table ACDOCA) replaces many separate ledgers, cost elements become G/L accounts of a special type, and classic codes such as KA01 are no longer the maintenance route. Many display codes still work, but SAP pushes users to Fiori apps. Always confirm a code exists in your release and that your role authorises it before you put it into training material.
Common mistakes
Using FB01 when a simpler screen would force fewer errors is common, as is reversing a cleared item without first resetting clearing with FBRA. Another frequent mistake is running a settlement such as KO88 with the wrong period because CO period locks (OKP1) were not checked. Keep a note of the authorization objects tied to each code when you build roles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these T-codes valid in S/4HANA?
Most posting and display codes such as FB50, FB60, FBL1N and F110 still work in S/4HANA on-premise. Some master data and CO codes are replaced or merged, for example cost elements are maintained in FS00. Verify in your release and system.
What is the difference between F-43 and FB60?
Both enter vendor invoices. FB60 is the simplified screen that works with a single invoice layout, while F-43 uses posting keys and is closer to the generic posting model. Many companies use FB60 for end users and F-43 for specialists.
How do I find a T-code I only know by description?
In SAP GUI use SE93 with a text search, or the SAP Easy Access menu search. In this table, search by a word in the description, for example reverse or depreciation, and filter by area.
Can I export the list for training?
Yes. Filter the table to the area you want and export to Excel or PDF. Add your own authorization notes in Excel afterward, since roles differ by company.
If your finance team asks the same how-do-I questions every close, a read-only assistant over your SAP data and documentation can answer them with the query shown. Netray can scope that with you.
