Align the inputs list with the current version of AS9100 and your quality manual. AS9100D adds items such as on-time delivery and quality performance, and organizations also review risk and resource needs. Retain the minutes as documented information.

Auto-build your review data pack

Optional: discuss pulling delivery, scrap and corrective action data from your ERP into the review.

Optional. The tool and every export work without this. No spam.

How to use the template

Enter the meeting details and attendees, then fill each input with a short summary backed by data you gathered before the meeting. Record decisions and add action items with owners and dates. Export to PDF or Word, sign and file the minutes. Carry open actions into the next review so the loop closes.

  • Send the data pack a week before the meeting
  • Use measures, not opinions
  • Record decisions on resources and improvement
  • Track actions from review to review

What the review must cover

Inputs include the status of past actions, changes in context, customer satisfaction, objectives, process performance, nonconformities and corrective actions, monitoring and measurement results, audit results, external provider performance, resource adequacy, and the effectiveness of risk actions. In aerospace, on-time delivery and product conformity performance are called out explicitly.

Outputs auditors look for

Outputs should include opportunities for improvement, any need for changes to the QMS, and resource needs. A review that lists only data and no decisions is a common audit finding. Write decisions in plain language with the person responsible and a date, so the follow-up can be verified at the next review.

Common mistakes

The usual faults are holding the review only before the audit, skipping inputs, recording no decisions, and presenting trends with no targets. Keep the data pack consistent each period so trends are visible, and include supplier and risk performance, not only internal metrics.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often is management review required?

At planned intervals set by the organization. Many aerospace companies hold a review quarterly or twice a year, and some also hold monthly operational reviews. Pick a frequency that keeps decisions timely.

Who must attend?

Top management must conduct the review. Include process owners who can present data and commit resources. The attendance list should show that decision makers were present.

Is this a required format?

No. The standard asks for documented information of the results, not a specific format. This template makes sure each input is addressed.

Do I need to review risks too?

Yes. The effectiveness of actions taken to address risks and opportunities is a required input, so keep your risk register current and bring it to the meeting.

Netray can help assemble the data pack from your ERP, such as delivery, scrap and corrective action metrics, so the review starts with current numbers.
