Module Fit and Gap Explorer
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne modules: fit and gap explorer
Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a mixed-mode ERP for discrete, process and repetitive manufacturing, delivered as release 9.2 with continuous updates rather than new major releases. This explorer maps the EnterpriseOne modules, from Shop Floor Management and Requirements Planning to Service Management and Demand Scheduling Execution, against your manufacturing requirements. Every fit names the implementation guide behind it, and anything we could not confirm in Oracle documentation is marked verify with vendor.
47 modules and products mapped (18 standard, 23 optional, 6 add-on, separate or third party) against 69 manufacturing requirements. Free, no login needed.

How to use it
- 1
Pick your requirements
Start from a preset such as Repetitive / automotive supplier or Engineer-to-order, or tick requirements one by one. Set each to Must, Should or Nice to have.
- 2
Read the fit
Each requirement shows whether EnterpriseOne covers it in a native module, a separate Oracle product, a third-party product, or not at all, with the module name, key programs and caveats.
- 3
Check the module map
The module map lists the EnterpriseOne modules by Oracle product family (Supply Chain and Manufacturing, Supply Management, Financials, Customer Relationship, Project Management, Asset Lifecycle and HCM) with what each covers.
- 4
Compare and export
Compare the same requirement set with another ERP, then download the fit-gap report as PDF, Excel, Word or CSV, or save it to your Netray account.
JDE E1 module questions
What modules does JD Edwards EnterpriseOne include?
Oracle groups EnterpriseOne into product families. Supply Chain and Manufacturing includes Sales Order Management, Inventory, Warehouse and Transportation Management, Product Data Management, Shop Floor Management, Product Costing, Requirements Planning, Forecast Management, Kanban, Engineer to Order, Project Manufacturing, Quality Management and Configurator. Other families cover Supply Management (Procurement and Subcontract Management, self service), Financials, Customer Relationship (Advanced Pricing, Service Management, Case Management), Project Management, Asset Lifecycle, HCM and Health and Safety.
Is there a newer release than JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2?
No. Oracle delivers new features as updates to release 9.2 under its continuous delivery model, so customers adopt features without a major upgrade. Oracle states Premier Support for 9.2 through at least 2037, reviewed each year. Tools releases (9.2.x) carry the platform changes.
How are JD Edwards modules licensed?
Each module is licensed separately, so two EnterpriseOne customers can run very different footprints. Oracle publishes licensing information pages per product family. Check your order documents before you score a module as native, especially Configurator, Warehouse Management, Quality Management, Demand Scheduling Execution and Service Management.
Does JD Edwards handle automotive EDI releases?
Yes. Demand Scheduling Execution processes 830 material releases and 862/866 ship schedules, keeps cumulative (CUM) quantities with ahead/behind checks, creates demand sales orders and sends 856 ASNs. The Data Interface for EDI loads flat files from a third-party translator, which you still need.
What are the usual gaps in a JD Edwards manufacturing fit-gap?
From the guides we reviewed: finite scheduling with a Gantt view, OEE, SPC, CAPA, gauge calibration, export classification, product substance compliance and Part 11 e-signatures are not documented as native features. Full RF scanning and CAD integration usually come from third-party products.
Can JD Edwards run process and discrete manufacturing together?
Yes. EnterpriseOne supports discrete, process and repetitive manufacturing in one system. Processes with ingredients, co-products, by-products, grade and potency use the same Product Data Management and Shop Floor Management modules as discrete work orders and rate schedules.
How is the fit score calculated?
Each selected requirement is weighted by priority: Must 3, Should 2, Nice to have 1. A native module scores 100 percent, an add-on from the same vendor 75, a partner product 50 and a gap 0. Items marked verify with vendor count at their stated fit but are listed separately so you can confirm them.
How current is this JD Edwards module map?
It follows the EnterpriseOne Applications 9.2 implementation guides and LearnJDE pages on docs.oracle.com as of 2026. Oracle adds features through 9.2 updates and licenses differ by customer, so treat the map as a starting point for vendor demos, not a contract.
