Infor SyteLine implementation partner scorecard
Compare up to five SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial) partners or consultants on weighted criteria and see the ranking update as you score. The interview bank tests what separates SyteLine specialists from generalists: IDOs and extension classes, Mongoose forms and FormSync, the Application Event System, ION, multi-site replication and the multi-tenant extensibility rules.
Neutral by design: this tool does not name, rank or recommend any consulting firm. You add the candidates.
Step 1: Add the candidates
Up to 5 partners or individual consultants.
No candidates yet. Add the partners on your shortlist, or start with placeholders and rename them later.
Step 2: Set the weights
0 ignores a criterion, 5 makes it critical. Share shows its part of the total.
Step 3: Score each candidate
1 poor, 3 adequate, 5 excellent. Use the arrow keys inside a score row.
Add a candidate in step 1 to start scoring.
Step 4: Weighted ranking
Scores are normalized to 100 over the criteria you have scored.
The ranking appears here once you add candidates and score them.

SyteLine interview question bank
26 questions by role, each with what a strong answer covers. Add questions to your interview pack; it is included in the export.
Red flags in SyteLine partner evaluations
Senior people in the sales meeting, unnamed juniors on the proposal
The team you interview should be the team you get. Ask for a key-person clause.
No SyteLine-specific answers on IDOs, events or FormSync
Generalist ERP consultants learn the product on your budget.
Plans direct SQL inserts or table edits to load or fix data
Bypasses IDO business logic and is not permitted in multi-tenant CloudSuite.
Says customizations upgrade automatically
FormSync covers forms and global objects, not IDOs, stored procedures or triggers.
References only from other Infor products or more than a few years old
SyteLine versions, tools and the cloud model change. Recent, same-product references matter.
Low fixed fee with broad exclusions
Exclusions such as data, reports and interfaces usually return as change orders.
Data migration is entirely the customer's job
Load tools, mapping and rehearsals need product knowledge from the partner.
No cutover rehearsal in the plan
The first full data load should never be the go-live.
Certifications claimed for the firm but not the named people
Ask for each consultant's certification name and date and verify it.
Customizations excluded from post go-live support
Someone must own the IDO extensions and event handlers they built.
Plans a large new SSRS report estate without discussing alternatives
Current Mongoose documentation lists SSRS reports as deprecated.
Unverifiable claims of exclusive status or guaranteed timelines
Ask for written evidence. Real partners describe risks, not guarantees.
How to use the SyteLine partner scorecard
- 1
Add the candidates
Enter up to five partners or individual consultants. Use the names you have in your shortlist; nothing leaves your browser unless you save or ask for a review.
- 2
Set the weights
Weight each criterion from 0 (ignore) to 5 (critical). An upgrade from a heavily customized on-prem SyteLine should weight product depth and on-prem experience higher than a new multi-tenant deployment would.
- 3
Interview with the question bank
Pick questions by role. Ask functional questions to the solution consultant, technical questions to the developer who will write your IDO extensions, and project-lead questions to the named project manager, not the sales lead.
- 4
Score each candidate 1 to 5
Score against the evidence notes for each criterion and tick any red flags you heard. The weighted ranking and chart update instantly.
- 5
Export or save
Download the scorecard as PDF, Excel, Word or CSV for your selection committee, or save it to your Netray account to continue later.
Questions
What should a SyteLine implementation partner be able to show me?
A named team with SyteLine-specific experience, a project plan with conference room pilots, test cycles and cutover rehearsals, sample deliverables from a past SyteLine project, and recent references on a similar version and deployment model. They should also explain how they handle IDOs, extension classes and event handlers through upgrades.
Is SyteLine the same product as CloudSuite Industrial (CSI)?
Yes. SyteLine is the original product name and CloudSuite Industrial is the name Infor has used for the cloud suite. Infor still markets the product under the SyteLine name, and the documentation uses both. Ask candidates which versions and which deployment model (multi-tenant cloud or on-prem) they have delivered.
What can a partner customize in multi-tenant CloudSuite Industrial?
Infor states that changes must be made with the Mongoose tool set and that direct access to the databases or servers is not permitted. Limited SQL logic can be added to many key stored procedures through EXTGEN callouts. A partner moving you from on-prem should inventory every custom stored procedure, trigger and SQL job and map each to a supported approach.
Does FormSync carry all of my customizations through an upgrade?
No. Infor documents that FormSync synchronization covers forms and global objects made in the designers, and does not apply to IDOs, stored procedures, triggers or other objects. A good partner has a separate inventory and retest plan for those.
Which Infor certifications should SyteLine consultants have?
Infor publishes certification exam guides for CloudSuite Industrial consultant tracks, including manufacturing and operations, finance, and a technical consultant track. Ask for the certification name and date for each named consultant and verify it with the partner or Infor. Certification shows product training; references and interviews show delivery skill.
Should I hire a partner firm or an independent SyteLine consultant?
A firm can staff several roles, cover holidays and absorb turnover, while an independent consultant can be cheaper and more senior per hour but is a single point of failure. Score both on the same criteria. For a full implementation most manufacturers need at least functional, technical and project-lead coverage.
How should I weight the criteria?
Start from the preset closest to your project. Upgrades from customized on-prem systems should weight product depth, team continuity and on-prem experience highest. New multi-tenant deployments should weight industry fit, methodology and support higher. Set a criterion to 0 if it does not matter to you.
Is my data stored anywhere?
The scorecard runs in your browser. It is only stored if you choose to save it to your Netray account, and only sent to us if you ask an engineer to review it.
