Choosing an ERP implementation partner

Most partner selections fail on the same few points: the senior people from the sales meeting are not the people on the project, references come from a different product or version, and the estimate hides data migration, reports and interfaces in its exclusions. A scorecard forces each of those into a criterion with evidence attached.

Product depth is the criterion generic checklists miss. A consultant who has built SyteLine IDO extensions, JD Edwards Orchestrations or SAP BAdIs answers differently from one who has read about them. Each ERP page has questions for the functional consultant, the technical consultant and the project lead, with what a strong answer covers and the weak signals to listen for.

Questions

What is an implementation partner scorecard?

A weighted list of criteria, such as product depth, team seniority, references, support and pricing model, that you score each candidate partner or consultant against. Weighting makes the trade-offs explicit, so the selection committee argues about priorities once instead of about every candidate.

Does this tool recommend or rank real consulting firms?

No. It never names, rates or recommends any firm, including Netray. You enter the candidates on your own shortlist and the ranking comes only from your weights and scores.

Why are the interview questions different for each ERP?

Generic questions let generalists pass. Each ERP has its own architecture, tools and upgrade mechanics, for example IDOs and the event system in SyteLine, or transports and BAdIs in SAP. The question bank asks about those specifics and lists what a strong answer covers.

Can I score individual consultants as well as firms?

Yes. The same criteria apply to an independent consultant. Some, like onshore and offshore mix, matter less for one person and can be weighted 0.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything works without logging in, including the PDF, Excel, Word and CSV exports. A free account only lets you save the scorecard and reopen it on another device.

Is my data sent anywhere?

The scorecard runs in your browser. Data is stored only if you save it to your account, and sent to us only if you ask an engineer to review it.
